Stay at Gatwick Belmont Hotel

Myself & my two friends stayed at your guest house on Thursday15th November 2007, en-route to the Caribbean via Gatwick airport.

The reason I am writing to you is to say a big thank you to both Gosia & Lukas for the way they looked after us during our brief stay ay the Belmont.

From the moment we arrived at the south terminal and were picked up by Gosia in the mini bus, we experienced friendliness, helpfulness, politeness and a willingness to make us feel very welcome. Gosia was only too pleased to engage in conversation with us, enquire about where we came from, where we were going on holiday and she was so pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for her. Her English was excellent (I am being serious) and I couldn’t believe she has only been in England three years.

In the morning of our departure from the Belmont, we met Lukas who was on duty. Again he made us fell so welcome, and made sure we has a good breakfast before we left as it was a very cold morning, and again he engaged in conversation all the way to the south terminal. He left me your card and assured us we would always be welcome back at the Belmont.

So again on our behalf could you thank them both for all their help, politeness and friendliness during our stay at the Gatwick Belmont.

Your hotel staff is wonderful and so friendly. The young man who picked us up from the airport was so nice! As we arrived right in time for dinner, it was nice to have a place to have a meal right where we were staying. Our dinner was served quickly and it was piping hot and very tasty. The Pub was fun and we really enjoyed talking with all the happy guests also staying at your hotel. The Town of Horley where your hotel is located is lovely. We felt very safe walking into town in the evening. It is a very short stroll into town and you can walk to the train station to get the train to London - very convenient. Your morning breakfasts were greatly appreciated. We enjoyed our stay so much that we discussed coming back to London soon and again staying at your Gatwick hotel. Thank you for such a pleasant time.

Wonderful pick up service at the airport 8 minutes from airport hotel phone to pick up. Good driver, lots of local information. Clean room. A few minutes from Horley town center. The town has about 5 second-hand charity shops full of goodies for not much money. Clean town friendly people.

Self service English breakfast good. Return to airport on time a friendly. Good value.

My hubby and I stayed here the night before we left to return home. The hotel was only a short distance from the airport. We were able to secure our luggage in a locked storage room and use only what we needed for the night. The bar and restaurant was open late and had good food and service. The bar was cozy with tables for dining and nice couches for sitting. The room , a twin, was clean and small but comfortable. The staff was very efficient and quick. The breakfast was included and I really felt like I could have had more. There was the typical english breakfast with cereal but not the best. However, it was included and filling. The courtesy bus to the airport was on time and quick. I would stay here again.

I needed a hotel which was close to Gatwick Airport as we had an early flight the next morning. The Belmont hotel seemed to fit the bill and it did not disappoint. We were collected from the airport and in two minutes we were checking in and heading off to our room for a rest and shower. The double room was ample with en suite toilet and shower and it provided us with a decent rest during our travels. We headed to the bar area for some food and drink and were politely waited upon by a young woman. After numerous pints and a ‘sunday dinner’ which is served every day we headed to bed safe in the knowledge that the receptionist would wake us up and drive us to to the airport early in the morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a convenient stop over.

“The room was perfectly adequate and clean with a tiny but clean and more than functional bathroom. So far so good. The staff on the other hand was wonderful and very helpful. One actually gave us a ride to another town when we were looking for a place to eat; we had some cheese they kept in the fridge for us; the shuttle service to and from both train station and Gatwick was quick and easy and of course free; they offered up help in finding other eating spots, public transport and friendly chat. We were there at the end of three weeks in England and were heading home from Gatwick. We were very glad we picked this hotel for our last two nights on the road.” (99990178)
